Just in time for Christmas! I smell a gift in my future. :)Sep 16, 2011
By PhoenixRush This season was pretty wild. We start out from the season 1 finale and see how Elka gets out of trouble. Then we see Susan Lucci and Victoria as cutthroat rivals. Then things get a bit more normal but the laughs keep coming. The ladies also try their hand at simultaneous birthday dates with hilarious results. My favorite of the ladies is easily Joy played by Jane Leeves. She's so wonderfully psychotic and crazy and she gets into some awesome situations here. I can't wait to see how the insane cliffhanger is resolved in season 3! Keep up the amazing work, ladies! Season 3 already has guest stars announced and as an avid Just Shoot Me fan, I'm looking the most forward to Laura San Giacomo's appearance. Can't wait!

you've come a long way babyJan 22, 2011
By JGC Really love this series. It's so much fun to watch. The jokes are edgy, catchy and always delivered with a touch of deadpan. Betty White is amazing in this series. She has the funniest expressions. If you've never watched "Hot in Cleveland" before it's sort of a mix between "The Golden Girls" and "One Day at a Time." The premiere ep of S2 kicked off with a bang with a cameo by Mary Tyler Moore playing a jailbird, of all things. Besides Betty, I especially enjoy Valerie Bertinelli because her character is parhaps the most relatable. She is insecure and dramatic at times but also there is something very familiar about her; it's like watching an old friend. Jane Leeves and Wendy Malick each provide strong supporting roles and add a touch of theatrics to this already in-your-face and over-the-top production. BTW if you've never used Amazon's VOD don't worry. It is very easy to operate and the picture and sound quality is better than ever (they even offer this in HD which is a first for TV Land). If you need a good laugh (and let's face it, these days we all could use one) watch "Hot in Cleveland," you'll be glad you did.

Laughs Keep RollingMay 05, 2012
By T.B. Grant Season two of TV Land's popular series, Hot in Cleveland, picks up where season one ended. Elka (White) is in jail. But to the surprise of Elka, and the TV audience, Hollywood's golden girl has company. White's friend and Carol Burnett Show star, Carol Burnett, makes a pleasantly funny appearance. In an almost reunion style fashion, these two actresses need more airtime together.
At a remarkable age of 90, White can still play hard with the best of them. And with a strong group of actresses like Valerie Bertinelli, Wendy Malick and Jane Leeves, and a hit comedy series, who can complain about the long hours of filming? Hot in Cleveland is reminiscent of another fabulous, strong series: 1985's The Golden Girls. And in an ironic spin of things, White, while in damn near every scene, has the spitfire ego of her long-ago costar Estelle Getty as the feisty Sophia Petrillo.
Some of the highlights in season two: the women, minus White, join a band and give it all they've got. Vocals and all. It is a lot of fun to watch the dynamics of these incredible actresses perform opposite each other--a riotous good time. But it is also fun to watch Malick compete with real life Susan Lucci in a spot on a daytime soap opera. The physical comedy that Malick delivers is not only hilarious, but it gives Malick's character more depth and personality.
The other issues plaguing the Cleveland women in this season: dating disasters and engagements gone awry. Even White gets in on the action when Carl Reiner makes a guest appearance. Engaging chemistry between he and White.
It is another fun-filled, laugh out loud season of quality TV (difficult to find today), and you will be on the floor with endless laughter.
